Revenues for Latin music in the U.S. grew 37% to $407 million in the first half of 2021 (1H 2021), continuing their recovery. Latin music’s growth outpaced that of overall U.S. music revenues, growing in share to 5.8%.

Recorded music revenues in the U.S. grew 27% in the first half of 2021 versus the prior year, from $5.6 to $7.1 billion at retail value.

United States recorded music revenues grew 9.2% in 2020 to $12.2 billion at estimated retail value. This is the fifth consecutive year of growth for the industry, as paid subscription services continued to be the primary driver of revenue increases, and reached a record number of subscriptions.
