Welcome back to Capitol Hill Mixtape! We hope that all of our viewers are off to a wonderful start in 2022. We are so grateful to each of you who take time to watch and hope that you are enjoying seeing a little different side of the members of Congress who work for us in DC.

We are kicking off this year with Congressman Marc Veasey of Texas, who represents the Forth Worth area. I always love getting to know members like Congressman Veasey, who worked as a staffer (as well as other impressive positions) before coming to Congress. Every staffer wonders if they could run for office one day, and we are fortunate that this Congressman decided to bring his knowledge and experience to Capitol Hill. Here’s hoping that many more talented young staffers choose to go into public service!

I also appreciated the Congressman’s honesty about the differences between working in the minority and the majority in the House of Representatives. And, as is the fastest way to my heart, the Congressman does enjoy metal when the occasion calls for it.
